Sannyasa Peeth was established on 6th December 2010, the day of Sri Swamiji’s Bhu Samadhi which took place a year earlier and is dedicated to the realization of the vision and the mission mandated to Swami Niranjan in 2009 by Sri Swamiji himself.
On the auspicious occasion of Guru Poornima 2011, at Sannyasa Peeth, Paduka Darshan, Munger, Swami Niranjan announced that the special program of Sri Lakshmi-Narayana Mahayajna at Sannyasa Peeth will be conducted annually from 8th to 12th September, as instructed and guided by Sri Swamiji in 2009.
All spiritual seekers, aspirants, devotees and well-wishers are welcome to attend the Sri Lakshmi-Narayana Mahayajna, receive the blessings of the Gurus, and experience the ever present grace of the Guru Tattwa manifesting through the lineage of the illuminated masters of the sannyasa tradition.
This year, the annual Sri Lakshmi-Narayana Mahayajna, held at Paduka Darshan, Sannyasa Peeth, is preceded by the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi on 7th September. This festival celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha, known to be full of wisdom and the removal of obstacles.
With the blessings of Lord Ganesha, we proceed to honour the birth of our Paramguru, Sri Swami Sivananda Saraswati on 8th September. The anniversary falls in the centenary year of Sri Swami Sivananda Saraswati’s Sannyasa Diwas, when in 1924 he was initiated into the holy tradition of sannyasa, and thus took a second birth, this time into spiritual life. His Sannyasa Centenary is observed as a year of connection, which is the basis of all his teachings and his own exemplary life.
The invocation of Ma Lakshmi and Lord Narayana graces the yajna, our life and spiritual journey with peace, harmony and contentment. The yajna culminates with the Sannyasa Diwas of Sri Swami Satyananda Saraswati, on 12th September.
